ifilm to take ‘The Detour’ from Thursday

ifilm’s new series, ‘The Detour’, has been scheduled to go on air from April 20, 2017.

The series produced by Seyyed-Mohammad Hashemi-Asl and directed by Behrang Tofiqi, is a comedic narrative in a fantasy tone.

A scientist who lives in a faraway island wants to abduct a number of Iranian intellectuals to try some of his experiments on them.

Trying to manipulate the navigation system of an airplane carrying the intellectuals, he manipulates another plane by mistake. Now he has to take care of a bunch of odd people with unusual behaviors.

The series cast list includes Nima Fallah, Sepand Amir-Soleymani, Shaghayegh Dehqan, Pouriya Poursorkh, Majid Vasheqani, Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Amir-Hossein Rostami, Parastoo Golestani, Akram Mohammadi, Farzad Hassani, Nader Soleymani, Ezzatollah Mehravaran, Saed Hedayati, Ali Kazemi and Sahar Valadbeigi.

‘The Detour’, made in 2011, is scheduled to be the replacement for the series ‘Parvaneh’, which will be aired daily at 22:00 GMT (02:30 Tehran time).

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the drama the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times). The series comprises 14 episodes.
